The American trade company, Guess, was founded in 1981 in California by brothers George, Armand, Paul and Maurice Marciano, who relocated to America from Marseille in France. Their first fashion item were the Marylin jeans which complemented the female figure. The narrow-cut jeans became an instant hit and sold out in a matter of hours. Other successful models and collections complemented by fashion accessories followed.

 In 2005, Guess began to offer perfumes. First, it launched a perfume for women Guess for Women, and one year later, Guess for Men, a perfume for men. 

Currently, the Guess brand includes Guess, G by Guess, Guess by Marciano and Guess Kids ranges and its stores can be found all over the world. Most of them are located in the United States and Canada. The range of products includes top quality clothing, shoes, handbags, perfumes, watches, jewellery and various fashion accessories.
